Subject: KMOTION & KFLOP
Tom, the difference between KMOTION and KFLOP, is that KMOTION has built in amps? KFLOP does not?
Use KFLOP with SNAP AMP?

When would one use KMOTION and its built in AMPS?
I am going to do a 2 axis lathe conversion, I also have an 8 position tool changer I would like to use that is pneumatically driven (no reversing) some point along with an MPG.

Just would like to know if KMOTION would work for my application. (12"x24" lathe) I already have an 80V power supply but could downsize for KMOTION if it makes more sense.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Marty,

Yes that is correct KMotion has built in Amps.  KFlop+SnapAmp(s) is recommended as that is our newer, faster, modular, higher voltage, and higher power solution.

We don't currently support threading on lathes.  We are working on it now and hope to have something in several months.
The tool changer and MPG should be possible.  You would need to write a C program to control your Tool Changer.

Thanks
